STACEY LEGER

Stacey Leger is a registered social worker, family mediator and collaborative family professional. She has a master’s degree in Social Work, post graduate certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution and over a decade of experience working with children, adults and families in struggle and uncertainty.  

Stacey is dedicated to helping individuals and families find peace and purpose in their lives. Always compassionate and curious in her approach, Stacey facilitates a client & family centered process in all aspects of her practice.

Stacey’s passion for alternative dispute resolution began in 2007 after completing a post-graduate certificate at York University. She then moved on to working for Margot Hallman and Cathryn Paul, esteemed family lawyer/mediators. For five years Stacey was mentored by Ms. Hallman while completing an in-depth and comprehensive internship. Stacey is an accredited family mediator with Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM) and a member of the Halton Mediation Practice Group. 

Stacey’s clinical experience began in 2012 working with children in crisis. She provided clinical assessment and therapeutic treatment for youth struggling with mental health. Integrating the family and providing education was an integral part her work. In 2013, Stacey began working with adults in a similar capacity. Her clinical work extended to facilitating therapeutic groups for individuals struggling with addiction, mental health and their support systems. In addition to her private practice, Stacey works with adults and their families in acute psychiatry at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. 

Stacey has completed level I & II of Collaborative Law training and is a practicing Family Professional. She is a member of the Hamilton/Halton Collaborative Practice Group.
