My belief is that therapy can create an opportunity for you to become an active participant in your life. Each session offers you the time to reflect on your values, focus on your goals and gain new perspective on challenging issues. Dedicating time to yourself, for yourself is the cornerstone to emotional well-being.

In order to effectively support you in achieving your goals, I use an evidence-based and integrated approach to the therapeutic process. I utilize theory and skills from the following modalities; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.

PROCESS

Making the choice to start counselling can be scary. To support you in deciding whether or not my counselling services are right for you, I provide a free 30 minute, in person consultation. Our therapeutic relationship will begin with a consultation session designed for us to get to know one another and discuss our fit. One of the most important components of therapeutic success is feeling comfortable and connected to your therapist. During the consultation we will also discuss an appropriate appointment schedule based on your well-being, goals and expectations.

I provide a client-centred therapy process guided by your goals.
